About Christopherson Business Travel
Christopherson Business Travel is a leading travel management company delivering innovative corporate travel solutions, exceptional client service, and technology-driven insights. We partner with organizations to optimize travel programs, enhance traveler experiences, and drive measurable savings.

Position Summary
The Part-Time Travel Advisor supports our corporate clients during our busiest months by booking, changing, and servicing business travel with accuracy and care. During our peak season, generally late August through May, this role follows a predictable weekday daytime schedule aligned with the school day. Because our business is seasonal, hours during summer and holiday periods may be reduced or paused based on business needs. No prior travel industry experience is required; we provide training, and it is a great fit for detail-oriented people who enjoy helping others and want skilled, meaningful work on a schedule that leaves room for life outside of work.

Key Responsibilities
Reservations & Ticketing
  • Book air, hotel, rail, and car reservations for corporate travelers using the GDS and online booking tools.
  • Issue, exchange, void, and refund tickets in accordance with fare rules and airline policies.
  • Research routing and fare options to deliver the best value within each client's travel policy.
Traveler Service & Support
  • Respond promptly and professionally to traveler requests by phone, email, and chat.
  • Handle schedule changes, cancellations, and irregular operations with calm, solution-focused service.
  • Maintain accurate traveler profiles, preferences, and loyalty program information.
Policy, Quality & Compliance
  • Apply client-specific travel policies, approval workflows, and negotiated rates on every booking.
  • Track and apply unused ticket credits to reduce client spend.
  • Follow quality control, data privacy, and payment card handling procedures on all transactions.
Team Collaboration
  • Document open items clearly so full-time and after-hours advisors can pick up seamlessly at shift end.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Operations teams to resolve escalations and client-specific needs.

Qualifications
Required
  • Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests at once.
  • Comfort learning and working across multiple computer systems.
  • A willingness to learn and the ability to complete our advisor training program.
  • Availability to work a consistent weekday daytime schedule during our peak season, with flexibility as seasonal needs change.
Preferred
  • Travel agency booking experience, particularly in corporate travel.
  • Experience with a major GDS (Sabre, Amadeus, or Travelport), Sabre especially.
  • Knowledge of airfare construction, ticketing rules, exchanges, and refunds.
  • Familiarity with online booking tools such as SAP Concur.
  • Travel industry certification (such as CTA or CTC).
  • Experience supporting group or university travel.

Core Competencies
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Client-focused service
  • Problem solving under pressure
  • Clear, professional communication
  • Time management and prioritization
  • Reliability and dependability
  • Collaboration and clean handoffs

What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly pay
  • A predictable weekday daytime schedule aligned with the traditional school day
  • Seasonal flexibility, with the potential for reduced hours or time off during summer and holiday periods based on business needs
  • Eligibility for benefits consistent with part-time plan terms
  • Comprehensive training, including GDS and booking systems, with no prior experience required
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • A collaborative, mission-driven culture

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
